This is two wonderful and self-aware parishes that are in the early stages of seeking to work together as a team led by a ministry team. They are boldly embracing this process and eager to discern what it means to be the church of the future.

The parishes are approximately 45 minutes apart, this reduces the possibility of feeling that this is competitive or that is is a stop on the way to merger.

Challenges

This is a brand new model that envisions a parish collaboration between independent parishes led by a common team and sharing some aspects of their life in common. It is envisioned that there will be a Full-time priest in charge (this position) at least one deacon and at least one, possibly two licensed lay pastoral leaders raised up from the parishes.

Comments

Names will be considered on an ongoing basis, it may be that the right "team leader" could be called to help complete some of the foundational work and walk forward from there with these two parishes.
