Description
Additional comments re: compensation, benefits and housing.
The rectory is located at 302 College Street in Oxford. It is 2 blocks NW of the church. The house is on a nice corner lot with a great deck and nice fenced backyard. We also pay for the lawn maintenance. Because it is not on the tax rolls, I was unable to give you square footage, but it is a nice family sized home. Downstairs has a separate living room, dining room, study / library, bedroom with attached dressing area and bathroom, a small 2-piece powder room, breakfast nook, kitchen and laundry room. Upstairs has a nice sized bonus space at the top of the stairs - plenty big enough for an upstairs TV room or play area or other multi-purpose space - on either side are two bedrooms with a connecting bath. 3 of those bedrooms are nice sized; the 4th one is perfect for an upstairs study or nursery and does not have a closet. There is ample floored space on the third floor for seasonal storage, etc. which is accessed by built-in stairs.

Strengths
Located in historic downtown Oxford, North Carolina, St. Stephen’s is a small but vibrant parish dedicated to living out the Gospel by following the example of Saint Stephen, the church’s first martyr and one of the first twelve deacons.
Each week we gather to celebrate the ancient rite of Holy Eucharist on Sundays, Morning Prayer on Thursdays, and Centering Prayer on Wednesday evenings. We are committed to contemplative prayer practices, creation care, and service to our community.
The people at St. Stephen’s want to know and help our neighbors and the parish partners with a number of local agencies, such as Area Congregations in Ministry, the Boys and Girls Club, Murdoch Developmental Center, and Hope House.
Through these ongoing worship and service activities, we try to live out our mission to share “the Gospel and love of Christ Jesus through service to our Church, community, and world.”
