Involved in many ways with community outreach on a frequent basis. We are a parish that loves to worship and sing together.
Unify the congregation with a positive methodology. Making everyone feel their opinion is
valued and will help lead to a stronger community.
Thoughtful selection of a Vicar with the necessary qualities needed to help Saint Peters to
continue to be a welcoming church to the community.
The present state of St. Peter’s Church is a state of change and new growth.
Members are concerned about our parishioners being separated from worship and being lonely and in need of direction. The abrupt change in spiritual leadership brought feelings of
apprehension and division in the parish. For these reasons, we are afraid of losing members
while at the same time recognizing the need to grow our church.
Amidst this, we are encouraged by the leadership roles that many devoted members have
taken on. We’ve established creative and flexible ways, through Zoom worship, to be
connected. This has enabled us to grow closer in our fellowship.
As we come together after many difficulties, we are optimistic about our future mission
with a new Vicar. Our strengths are our membership. We are a loving congregation with a
faithful core of parishioners. St. Peter’s is a unique and special place.
Saint Peter’s has had several large one-time expenses in the last few years
due to an addition to the Sacristy and Church. A major structural repair and
expensive general upkeep to all three buildings. Saint Peter’s also incurred
and paid unusual Clergy expenses for back benefits and a departure financial
package. The COVID virus has also been and continues to be a strain on
Saint Peter’s finances. Through all of the above challenges Saint Peter’s has
meet all of its responsibilities including the Marks of Mission requirements.
Please note that the current year reflects the finances through June 30, 2020.
