Description

Liturgical style and practice

Broad Church

Strengths

A can do parish that is located in the Hamptons of Long Island.  When it identifies a challenge it is addressed with verve and purpose. They are well known in the town and interface with the community in a variety of ways. They are open to innovation and eager to "re-open" after the pandemic. There is a significant LBGTQ presence and a spirit of openness. They have a Curate position and a well run administration. Strong Vestry. Located on the Atlantic ocean, an arts oriented town, with a variety of vineyards located nearby.

Challenges

The church has a "reverse" season in that the Hamptons are the summer playground of many New York City and the busy season is the summer. The base of the church community are "year round" folks but there are many summer participants, there can be barriers to getting around the summer time business.
