Description

Strengths

While a small congregation, has a well organized group of teams that coordinate pastoral care, hybrid worship services and outreach.

During the pandemic created the "Pause Place" an outdoor shelter where the community could come and pray or leave their prayer requests. This led to the creation with the Interfaith Council of Bennington of the "Coffee Pot" daily warm drinks for passers by along side their church porch full of free warm clothing.

Challenges

Moving to Zoom church has been technically challenging and resisted by some in the congregation. Share an anxiety about members returning with many other congregations.

Aging congregational family amid a number of well-know colleges and universities.

Comments

Willing to partner with St. Mary's in-the-Mountains and their 1/3 tie position, in Wilmington to make this 2/3 position for them a full-time call.
