Strengths
Grace Church is one of the strongest churches in the Diocese of NJ. Our outreach
ministry is focused primarily on the city of Camden. We are welcoming and inclusive to
all people, including families of all ages, the LBGTQI+ community. We have a strong music program, and active parish life with many social and outreach activities.
Grace Church lives the message of:
‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of
my family, you did it to me.’ We strive to reach those who are marginalized and
forgotten in our community and teach our children the value and joy of service to others.
The pandemic did not deter us from worshiping and maintaining outreach.
Challenges
Grace Church has been challenged recently by changing leadership, and the difficulties
that have affected every Church related to COVID. We have faced these challenges
with determination. Our ministries continue and lay ministers have taken on the
responsibilities of leadership with strength and devotion.
Due to changes in Rectors, we have reduced our office staff to one part time position
and need to identify a Director of Religious Education and Director of Communication.
Due to COVID we had a reduced number of Parishioners in attendance, but the
numbers are now consistently increasing. We continue working hard to sustain and
grow our parish family.
