Strengths

This position is focused on raising up youth for lifelong service in the church by nurturing their relationships with God, their peers, families, community and the Episcopal Church. The Youth Missioner should build on the strong program to foster a vibrant community of youth and youth ministry throughout the Diocese. The job focuses on being a resource and support to the youth and they grow into servant leaders of the church. The Youth Missioner will also work collaboratively with the diocesan Christian Formation Missioner connecting youth and adults to diocesan youth ministry efforts within the continuum of life-long formation. She or he would also team with other diocesan staff members and volunteers as needed to enhance the success of the Bishop’s leadership in the Diocese. This position is based out of the Diocesan Office located in Roanoke, VA.
