Strengths
The strengths of Christ the King are summed up best in the words of two parishioners paraphrased from our recent parish survey:
- Christ the King stands for love and the desire to seek a deeper understanding of God
- I value the artistry in how we do things at Christ the King; in the ways we care for one another. All talents are welcome at our communal table. We are spiritual. We all seem to yearn for and respond to the fullest embrace of Jesus. We have unity; a sisterhood and brotherhood that is real and dependable.
Challenges
The challenges we face at Christ the King are not unique – stability, sustainability, growth, renewed commitment to our core as an active energetic witness to Christ in the Rondout Valley and all defined by the experience of the worst health crisis our community and our country have faced in over a century.
