Description

Strengths

Christ Church Bronxville is a diverse, welcoming, and multigenerational community honoring both sacred tradition and contemporary expressions of faith. In our pews, three generations of a family may often be seen. Our liturgies reflect spiritual and theological depth, thoughtful and inspirational homilies, and extraordinary music. We are devoted to our children and young adults, as well as to our outreach ministries. We are a haven for individuals, couples, and families from a variety of communities, and we are responding to Jesus’ call to be loving, liberating, and life-giving.

Challenges

As we emerge from the pandemic, we need to bring our community back together, grow our congregation, and find ways to engage all our members in faith, service and stewardship. We must also inspire and engage the larger community through community partnerships, events, and communications. We need increased financial transparency to create ongoing opportunities for stewardship rather than relying primarily on an annual campaign. We must identify our next music director and continue our tradition of excellence in sacred music. We will reaffirm our commitment to excellent youth programming, including our annual Taizé pilgrimage and mission trips.
