All Saints’ Church is emerging from the pandemic with tremendous energy to resume in-person worship and fellowship. We have many strong ministries: Our Adult Christian Education meets in several diverse forums each week, our Outreach Ministry impacts lives in our local community, and our Music Ministry is led by a talented Music Director who blends a mix of professional singers and volunteer parishioners. We maintain a strong connection to the Princeton Theological Seminary, hosting several interns each year. All Saints recently completed a $1.4 million capital campaign to revitalize our kitchen, main fellowship reception space, and critical facility systems. We anticipate that project will be completed in the next 12 months.
Our interim priest will work with us to help revitalize our Youth & Children’s Ministry that needs more families to build critical mass vital to the future of our church. While our current membership in good standing is 167, with average attendance across two Sunday services of 79, that number is a significant decline from a decade ago. Some of the losses from our parish have been among our largest pledgers, and our budgets are always tight. We remain one of the largest pledges to the Diocese. As our congregation has shrunk and aged, finding volunteers for certain ministries has been more challenging than in the past. That said, we have a collegial vestry and energetic lay leaders in many areas of our church life.
Our parish is staffed by an administrator, a treasurer, a janitor, our music director, and our youth pastor. All are part-time or independent contractors. In addition, we have a number of priest associates who have retired from full-time ministry but make themselves available for pastoral care and to occasionally celebrate the Eucharist. Our beautiful grounds, tucked away in the woods of North Princeton, are also home to the cemetery shared with Trinity Church of Princeton. Our building also hosts a children’s Montessori school for ages 18 months to 6 years, and a program which offers teenagers personalized educational choices.
