  • Interest and commitment to outreach, local and worldwide.
  • Quiet Day retreats throughout Covid and weekly Centering Prayer.
  • Open to change and creative ways to address future needs, including collaborations with others.
  • Active 5 day a week day school with consistent enrollment; headed by a qualified Director with 7 staff.
  • Concert and musical program series that also serves as outreach to the community.
  • Mission Philadelphia and Lobsterfest outreach.

Challenges

Without Priest in Charge, services conducted by assisting priests and visiting priests requiring continuing management of Wardens;  It has been difficult to re engage our youth and grow our youth program.  Our church may be lightly staffed for post Covid to serve a highly programmatic church that some parishioners desire.

Comments

These is sentiment expressed among parishioners, through our Voices focus group meetings, that other types of worship and music experiences may be desirable IN ADDITION to the high quality music and liturgy presented in the traditional manner.  Episcopal Church growth research has also indicated such, which will be a matter for consideration with a new Rector.  Also from these discernment process,  there is a lot of energy around building back our fellowship and youth programs.
