The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer is the only African American Episcopal parish in Greensboro, NC with a loving congregation whose core mission includes uplifting the kingdom of God by spreading the gospel, increasing our spirituality, and assisting in the creation of a peaceful and harmonious world. Our strongest desire is to be faithful stewards through our thoughts, words, and deeds, while also deepening our faith—both as individuals and as a congregation.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled preacher whose message is approachable and yet still challenges us to grow in our faith and understanding of what it means to be a Christian. We are seeking a part-time Rector, one who may be interested in possibly growing with us into a full-time Rector; one who can keep a clear and tranquil head in the middle of our parish’s growth and development processes.

We are also praying for a part-time Rector who is socially adept, with an eye to the future and the experience to grow our parish and challenge us to use our talents to achieve the goals expressed by the parish:

We have weathered the interim period and Covid without permanent clergy.
