Our church is healthy and stable with strong lay leadership. Our members are extremely serious about our faith and our mission, but practice both with cheerfulness and lots of humor. Generally, our parishioners are interested in innovation in our worship service and our mission. We see mistakes and occasional failures as the byproduct of trying to do new things, and we strive to be quick to help, and when needed, forgive. We work to be open and transparent. We’re fiscally prudent and love a balanced budget, but are committed to expanding our mission and the church’s presence in the community.
We need to continue moving forward to maintain and build on the growth of the last decade in our congregation and our mission. We want to attract younger members and those who come from different cultural and economic backgrounds. We need to examine our mission’s history and plan how best to respond to existing and growing needs in our community, evidenced by a thirty-five percent growth in demand for food from our pantry since the beginning of 2019. We need to maintain and increase pledging for our church and continue to find additional support in the community for our mission.
