St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is a small, traditional, Anglo-Catholic parish with a heart for outreach to its community. They have made significant progress in recent years in overcoming their former isolation so that they might discern and grow into the calling for which their worship commissions them. They seek a compassionate pastor who appreciates the ways in which ancient liturgy equips us for rather than shielding us from the challenges of our world, who enjoys good company of all ages, and for whom the love of God shines through in prayer and preaching.
This congregation has never before experienced a female celebrant. The search committee is open to the possibility of calling female priest, but anyone applying should be prepared to face at least some opposition from within the congregation.
The ability to develop trust through the demonstration of a shared commitment to Scripture and Liturgical Tradition is key to winning the heart of this congregation.
Please note that there are many opportunities for supplemental ministry in the area.
