This is not simply a chapel of ease. The parish has a strong commitment to outreach in the surrounding community and to rooting that outreach in their traditional worship. They have made progress under their 2 most recent (short-term) priests to increase involvement with the diocese and to deepen their commitment to stewardship.
This parish has been isolated in the less recent past by traditionalist clergy who wanted to protect the parish from contemporary issues of gender and sexuality. The parish is still working its way through where it stands on, for example, women's ordination, and needs someone who will work patiently with them as they edge their way forward.
