St. Paul’s is blessed with committed lay leadership. We are a multi-generational congregation with a sense of joy in being together to worship God. Centrally located in a growing residential neighborhood, St. Paul’s has been enriched with many young families moving from New York City. The church’s sixty-year old preschool, with over 100 students, is a cornerstone in the community. Parishioners are actively engaged in various non-for profits in the community. Under the guidance of the Director of Christian Education, our formation program for elementary school aged children is thriving. St. Paul’s adults tend to be seekers who long for meaning in their lives and curious learners who deeply appreciate thoughtful sermons, Bible study and educational opportunities. In the past years, we have baptized about 10-12 babies annually and buried an almost equal number, meaning that the cycle of life and death is deeply appreciated in the congregation.

Many parishioners are interested in expanding ministry in the community and world yet we haven’t quite discovered this shared calling. A mixed blessing is that we have a fair number of new families who attend, however, we are interested in helping to more fully incorporate them into parish life. Not unlike many other communities, we struggle to encourage youth participation in worship and youth programs. Following national trends, St. Paul’s pledge base has dropped by half in the past 12 years. Through careful budgeting and financial management, the church continues to operate on a balanced budget.

We seek an assistant/curate who wants to share the love of God with the congregation and the community. We have a collegial work atmosphere and a sense of shared responsibility. St. Paul’s has much to learn from an assistant/curate and much to share. Please prayerfully consider if God is calling you to St. Paul’s.
