Strengths

St. Matthew's/San Mateo is a growing, vibrant, multicultural parish, under the strong leadership of its Senior Priest.  The parish has active ministries both within the parish and in its community.  Most services are conducted in Spanish.  The Associate would be responsible for leading the 10:00 am English service, and provide liturgical and pastoral care to the congregation.  Parish committees and meetings are often bi-lingual, conducted in both English and Spanish.

Challenges

Because of the growth, parish ministries and needs are growing rapidly.

Comments

The candidate must be a good communicator, both as a preacher and pastor, bilingual (English and Spanish), flexible, able to embrace the multicultural parish and its strong tradition of music.  Work is 20-30 hours per week.
