Members participate in a broad array of community outreach ministries, including the local food bank, local jail ministry, shoe boxes for overseas, and Angel Tree for needy families. Members are very integrated into the community, and are seen as a presence in Halifax. They have an extraordinary physical plant that is in very good condition. They are debt-free. They currently have an effective interim and an excellent search committee, and have prepared themselves to accept names.
St. John’s is located in a town in the middle of a very rural area; a community which has changed in focus significantly in recent years.
St. John’s is strongly motivated to move forward and embrace their changed community and the new ministries that may bring.
The Rev. Canon Charles Robinson
