St. John's is known for the dignity and beauty of its choir and liturgy, for its genuine welcome to a diverse body of seekers, for activism on behalf of the marginalized, for social justice and outreach to the homeless and impoverished.
St. John's has experienced a time of division and conflict over the style and vision of leadership and congregation. After a productive interim period, St. John's is looking forward to getting on with its life and mission in a more positive and fruitful manner.
St. John's does best under strong, positive, but inclusive clergy leadership. The congregation appreciates lively and inspiring preaching, attentive pastoral care, careful attention to organization, and active leadership in the areas of justice and fairness.
The Rev. Canon Donald Vinson
