Strengths

Welcoming community; communicative; diverse, respecting differences; involvement of parishioners (more than 50%) in liturgy, sacraments, music, altar guild, acolytes, other forms of worship (including our children); open to the community through outreach (Brazilian population, 5 Twelve Step groups, St. Brigid’s Pantry, Etc.);  strong fund raising and sustained financial support; support of Diocese through tithing; open to be challenged and changed by our priest.

Challenges

We are ‘The Little Stone Church with the Warm Heart”.  We have always been a small church, but we wish to maintain our independence.  We see challenges in continuing to reach out to the wider community; attracting new worshipers; expanding our programs for our youth.  We hope to expand our “social media” presence and to continue to meet the preferences of our worshiping community through a diverse Liturgy.  We hope to find a priest who shares our vision, hopes, and values.

Comments

Our parish is thriving, generous and diverse.  While we cannot support a “full time” priest, we will welcome a part-time priest who will share our core values and ideals.  We can offer our priest a strong community of faith, comprised of an extremely dedicated group of worshipers who value their spiritual home greatly and who, in addition to providing financial support, will contribute generously of their time and talents.  We seek a priest who will join us in this journey of faith.
