St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church is searching for a full time rector. St. Augustine’s, an involved community with numerous ministries and opportunities for outreach, fellowship, formation and worship, is located in Wilmette, just 16 miles from downtown Chicago. The congregation worships together in a rich liturgical style each Sunday. Parishioners welcome everyone to their worship and community life, whether the person is a newcomer or long time member. The outreach program at St. Augustine’s is robust, facilitating a wide variety of opportunities for parishioners to express their faith through active ministry in and outside of Wilmette. Formation being a core value at St. Augustine’s, there are opportunities for all parishioners, regardless of age, to learn and grow.
St. Augustine is growing in their trust to the system and connection to themselves and the diocese.
The Village of Wilmette, a North Shore suburb of Chicago, is known for its vibrant community and excellent schools. Commuter friendly, there are two rail lines that run from the village to the Chicago Loop. Adjacent to Lake Michigan, the eastern border of the village reaches to the lake shore. There are many cultural events throughout the year and the downtown area features shopping and a number of good restaurants.
