Strengths

Strong lay and clergy leadership; welcoming and progressive congregation that is engaged in local community with children's Friday night program; strong connections with diocesan leadership.

This is a 1/2 time position with full family health insurance available; could be 3/4 time if single insurance is needed.

Challenges

Small congregation in small town - growth is desired but is a challenge.

Adjusting to actual cost of a priest as current rector has not needed insurance or pension.

Comments

Grace is a family-sized congregation located in Sterling, IL, which is located along the Rock River 100 miles west of Chicago, and 28 miles east of Clinton, IA. They've had strong leadership in the current rector and want to continue developing their ministries with their next rector.

Some financial anxiety but can afford 1/2-3/4 time depending on insurance needs.
