Grace Episcopal is located in the center of Lexington, VA directly adjacent to VMI (Virginia Military Institute) and Washington and Lee University, and has a long standing campus ministry with the Cadets and students.  The Congregation completed an extensive parish-wide mediation process from 2016 to 2017 whose report provides a framework for the parish to heal, honor its history, renew spiritually, and move forward in its Christ centered mission.

Congregation restored Church name to Grace Episcopal, from RE Lee Episcopal, in September 2017.  The Church was founded as Grace Episcopal in 1840 but was renamed RE Lee in 1903, who served as Sr. Warden at the parish from 1865-1870.  Following a parish wide mediation process the Vestry restored the original name of Grace.  After completion of mediation process the Rector decided it was time for new leadership to move the parish forward.  The congregation requires a skilled Interim Rector to lead them forward through healing and a renewed focus on the work of the Gospel.
