Strengths

Summary: This position serves as an extension of the ministry of the Bishop Southwestern Virginia and is dedicated to enhancing the life-long formation of the people of the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia with a particular focus on young people. The Christian Formation Missioner serves as a diocesan resource for local ministry efforts in parishes with a primary focus on children’s ministry and secondary responsibilities for college ministry and young adult ministry. The Christian Formation Missioner will also work collaboratively with the diocesan Youth Missioner connecting youth and adults to diocesan youth ministry efforts within the continuum of life-long formation. She or he would also team with other diocesan staff members and volunteers as needed to enhance the success of the Bishop’s leadership in the Diocese.
