The Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is a worshipping community of roughly 750 baptized persons and the seat for the Diocese of Bethlehem. Mission focused and seeking always a strong witness to the community. Strong children and youth ministry with summer camp experience entering its 106th year. Excellent and diverse music ministry. Dedicated lay leadership. Situated on the Southside of Bethlehem, a diverse population providing a rich experience and varied opportunities for mission.

Busy lives provides challenges for adaptive missional strategies and participation. Engaging anew families in our neighborhood, many of whom are Spanish speakers, few Nativity members are.  Large physical plant in need of constant and expensive maintenance.

The Cathedral seeks a mission minded priest to assist the Dean and lead the Cathedral community to strengthen, renew, and create relationships with families and children on the Southside of Bethlehem and the organizations that support them in their daily lives.  Our mission field is diverse in race, socioeconomic status, and in challenge and opportunity. The ideal candidate would be Spanish speaking, creative, energetic, willing to take risks, able to build bridges between a majority of congregants that commute from suburbs to Cathedral and families and children who reside on the Southside. The candidate will find enthusiastic mission minded colleagues and a congregation open to be transformed by mission God calls us to.
