All Saints Episcopcal Church

|Health Benefits||Full Family|
|Average Sunday Attendance||70|
The main strength is our care and support of each other as we worship together. We have a very diverse congregation made up of church family members from many years ago and newer members from the West Indies, Africa and the United States. We also exercise outreach in the community and groups such as Alzheimer’s Organization. Our Sunday School, though small in number, is learning about our faith, and participates in the Holy Eucharist the first Sunday of the month by reading the lessons and leading the Psalm.
One of our weaknesses is some members not fully attending opportunities to further our faith and fellowship such as Bible study, extra Services for Holy Days. Our stewardship could be mentioned during the year to remind people of the importance of learning to tithe. We need to be more proactive about getting new members. When people looking for a church come to All Saints’, they become members. We have to “go out and get them”.
We want a Rector who has a deep understanding of the Bible and can share that with illuminating, stirring sermons. We would like teachings relevant to our lives and happenings in the country and the world.
We want a Rector who will unify all people of the congregation and provide leadership and guidance on all levels. A ministry for our youth needs to be developed in order to keep them in Church.
We are looking for a Rector who will visit our homebound on a regular basis and work with the Vestry to promote opportunities for our spiritual growth. It is important for the Rector to participate in parish and community Ecumenical Services and activities.
We would like the Rector to be a family oriented, spiritually gifted priest and dynamic speaker. We want a Rector who will understand the importance of music in the liturgy and the inclusion of youth in the worship Service.
We want a Rector with good financial sense and knowledge.
