To be a pastoral presence and a spiritual resource in the Seabury Community for residents, family members, Seabury At Home members, clients, and staff irrespective of their faith orientation.  To encourage within the Community's life the Judeo/Christian moral foundation of a caring and supportive environment by helping people to face and cope with a variety of life-changing events such as retirement, relocation, medical and physical impairment, severe illness, death and bereavement.  To assure pastoral support is available and provided to everyone associated with Seabury who is in need of Chaplaincy support regardless of religious or denominational affiliation, and/or no faith profession.

To conduct mid-week and Sunday services on site. The Director is responsible for fulfilling the goals and purpose of Seabury, Inc. and the Center for Spirituality.  The Chaplaincy’s purpose is to support the mission and philosophy of Seabury, Inc. and its current programs and practices by focusing additional attention and resources on a systematic and holistic approach to the spiritual and overall health needs of residents, members, staff and the broader community.

The Chaplain’s role at Seabury is classified as a full-time exempt position which provides the benefit of the Clergy Pension Plan through the Church Pension Fund (CPF).
