We are very committed to the local community and we are very involved in outreach. We are a wonderfully diverse bunch, who are generally participating and interacting in much of what we offer. The norm is that we have two services, one in English and one in Spanish. The people from both services like to come together to socialize, worship and be with each other, creating a real sense of togetherness. Two services, but one community.
Sunday services are not as well attended as we would like. We would like even more communication and more events to bring the two services together, even through differences and language barriers. Intentions are good here! We are working together, but we always strive to make it better.
Our greatest challenges ARE our greatest strengths! The fact that we want more teamwork, more participation, more diversity, more events, more regularly as a whole parish means that we are up to the challenge of making this happen.
We adhere to the Episcopal Church in Connecticut compensation guidelines, which can be found in the Treasurers' Newsletter here.
