Christ’s Church Rye is an active community of predominantly well-educated, thoughtful Christians who seek to know and share God’s love with those around us. We are a multi-generational parish committed to our spiritual development as individuals and to the vibrancy of the parish as a whole. We appreciate our history and traditions, while seeking with open hearts and minds to welcome new people and ideas.
Outreach programs are a critical aspect of our mission and ministry, and many committed parishioners devote much of their lives to these callings. Children and family are the focus of much of the Church’s activities.
While we strive always to be warm and welcoming, we desire to increase our diversity and incorporate more visitors and newcomers into our outreach and fellowship activities. In addition, our programs for children (including Sunday School, Christmas Pageant, choristers and confirmation) are thoughtful and well-attended; however our teenagers have academic, sports and social distractions, which make it challenging to continue to engage older youth in church activities.
